Revir

This belongs in the prehistoric category of works. I wrote it when I was 18, when I had just started to study for Sven-David Sandström. It was given its first performance at the Festival of Young Scandinavian Music (Ung Nordisk Musik, UNM) in Copenhagen, 1981 by the Danish Broadcasting Corporation's Choir.

It's based on a poem by Johannes Edfeldt (“Revir” from “Parentesernas skog”), and uses simple mathematical progressions to generate the pitches and rhythms. It's quite effective.
