Charles-Marie Widor: Symphonie Romane: 2. Choral
This is the second movement, the Choral, of Charles-Marie Widor’s tenth and last organ symphony, Symphonie romane, based on the Gregorian chant Hæc dies, which provides the thematic material of all the movements of the symphony.
The organ is the Cavaillé-Coll organ at l’Abbatiale de St Etienne, Caen, France. This is a virtual recording using Hauptwerk.
